KUALA LUMPUR, 5 Dis 2019 — Sebanyak 2,433 koperasi sekolah di seluruh negara dengan keahlian seramai 1.6 juta membabitkan pelajar dan guru telah didaftarkan sehingga 30 Jun lepas, kata Presiden Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Berhad (Angkasa), Datuk Abdul Fattah Abdullah.
Beliau berkata pihaknya menganggarkan masih ada kira-kira 700,000 pelajar dan guru yang belum berdaftar sebagai ahli koperasi sekolah.
“Kita harap mereka akan sama-sama menjadi ahli. Kita menyasarkan untuk semua pelajar dan guru sekolah menengah menjadi ahli koperasi sekolah masing-masing bagi menjadikan Malaysia sebuah Negara Keusahawanan Unggul,” katanya.
Beliau berkata demikian kepada Bernama selepas menghadiri Majlis Anugerah Kecemerlangan Koperasi Sekolah (AKKS) 2019 Peringkat Kebangsaan di sini, hari ini yang disempurnakan Pengerusi Eksekutif Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia (SKM) Datuk Nordin Salleh.
Dilapor, Perdana Menteri Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad sewaktu pelancaran Dasar Keusahawanan Nasional 2030 (DKN2030) pada 11 Julai lepas menegaskan pentingnya dasar keusahawanan nasional menjadi tonggak pemberdayaan usahawan dalam menggerakkan ekonomi negara dan yakin Malaysia boleh mencapai matlamat Negara Keusahawanan Unggul menjelang 2030 menerusi pelan DKN2030 ini.
Abdul Fattah berkata setakat Disember 2018, koperasi sekolah di seluruh negara telah menyumbang perolehan berjumlah RM400.5 juta, dan ini menunjukkan koperasi sekolah berpotensi memberi sumbangan besar terhadap masyarakat di samping dapat melahirkan modal insan yang berkualiti tinggi dan berkemahiran.
Terdahulu, dalam majlis kecemerlangan itu, pelbagai anugerah disampaikan bagi meraikan sumbangan dan usaha pihak sekolah yang cemerlang dalam menguruskan koperasi sekolah masing-masing, antaranya Anugerah Pengerusi Koperasi Sekolah kepada Datin Nuinda Alias daripada Koperasi Maktab Sabah Berhad.
Turut disampaikan, Anugerah Guru Pembimbing Koperasi Sekolah Terbaik kepada Nik Mohd Zaini Nik Ab Majid daripada Kolej Vokasional Tanah Merah Berhad, Kelantan, Anugerah Koperator Terbaik (Kategori Murid) kepada Imad Hassan Basri Abdul Halim daripada Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sultan Badlishah Kulim Kedah Berhad dan sekolah itu turut menerima Anugerah AKKS Peringkat Kebangsaan 2019.
