GEORGE TOWN, 14 Mei 2019 — MY E.G. Services Bhd (MyEG) Wilayah Utara hari ini menafikan terdapat kelewatan dan kegagalan kemaskini pada sistem sehingga menyebabkan berlakunya kegagalan dua pekerja asing mendapatkan permit yang diperbaharui mereka.
Pengurus Kanan MyEG Wilayah Utara, Aziz Khan Hamid Khan berkata menerusi semakan yang dilakukan MyEG mendapati kedua-dua pekerja warga Bangladesh itu telah melakukan kesalahan sehingga menyebabkan permit mereka tidak dapat diperbaharui.
“Seorang daripada pekerja asing warga Bangladesh ini didapati telah ditahan kerana melanggar permit kerja dan dalam proses untuk dihantar pulang manakala seorang lagi tidak mengemaskini pasport dan tidak melakukan pemeriksaan kesihatan yang merupakan syarat wajib untuk seseorang pekerja asing memperbaharui permit mereka,” katanya kepada pemberita pada sidang media di pejabatnya di sini hari ini.
Aziz Khan berkata sistem MyEG senantiasa dikemaskini 24 jam dan sekiranya permohonan daripada syarikat berkenaan tidak mempunyai masalah serta mematuhi syarat yang ditetapkan sudah pasti ianya akan dapat diluluskan dengan segera.
“Tidak berlaku sebarang salah guna kuasa dalam kalangan staf MyEG seperti yang didakwa Pengurus Besar syarikat berkenaan. Setiap pekerja menjalankan tugas mengikut prosedur operasi standard yang ditetapkan dan jika berlaku sebarang salah guna kuasa serta penyelewengan tindakan tegas akan diambil,” katanya.
Sebuah akhbar sebelum ini melaporkan, Pengurus Besar Syarikat Era Maju Ikhlas Sdn Bhd, Chiew Keng Hwa mendakwa berlaku kelewatan dalam kemaskini pada sistem MyEG sehingga menyebabkan ada antara pekerja warga negara asing syarikat tersebut lewat mendapatkan permit.
Chiew mendakwa dua pekerja warga asing di bawah syarikatnya sehingga kini masih tidak diberi permit selepas membuat permohonan pada 2016 di MyEG Jalan Rangoon, di sini.
