Ketua Pegawai Eksekutifnya, Bryan Loo berkata pengambilan pekerja baharu itu akan memenuhi keperluan, antaranya ialah jenama utamanya, Tealive, yang akan menambah 250 cawangan dalam tempoh dua tahun akan datang, menjadikan jumlah itu kepada 500 cawangan di Malaysia menjelang pertengahan 2021.
“Ini bermakna untuk Tealive sahaja, kami memerlukan lebih daripada 1,200 pekerja, secara purata sebanyak lima pekerja setiap kedai,” katanya dalam satu kenyataan hari ini.
Loo berkata langkah itu juga sejajar dengan objektif syarikat untuk mewujudkan lebih banyak peluang pekerjaan untuk rakyat Malaysia.
Selain itu, beliau berkata Loob juga bekerjasama dengan Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) untuk menempatkan graduan UiTM di kedai-kedai Tealive bagi merasai sendiri pengalaman dalam pengurusan kedai.
“Bersempena dengan ini, Tealive juga telah menandatangani perjanjian kerjasama dengan Petronas untuk membuka 300 kedai Tealive di Petronas Kedai Mesra dalam tempoh tiga tahun.
“Syarikat juga telah menandatangani perjanjian kerjasama dengan Kolej Komuniti Arau di Perlis untuk menyediakan perantisan bagi pelajarnya yang berdaftar dalam program persijilan pemprosesan makanan dan kawalan kualiti,” katanya.
Loo berkata kumpulan pertama pelajar itu telah ditempatkan di kedai-kedai Tealive terpilih manakala kumpulan seterusnya berjumlah 60 pelajar akan menyusul pada Disember 2019.
