IPOH, 9 Jan — Polis Perak bercadang untuk menambah bilangan pegawai dan anggota polis di Pulau Pangkor selepas pulau peranginan itu diisytiharkan sebagai Pulau Bebas Cukai (PBC) 1 Jan lepas.
Ketua Polis Perak Datuk Razarudin Husain berkata pada masa ini, seramai dua pegawai dan 32 anggota telah ditugaskan di Balai Polis Pulau Pangkor.
“Pertambahan anggota (polis) dalam kajian terutamanya anggota polis pelancong yang perlu kita tempatkan di Pulau Bebas Cukai dan ada juga yang telah pun dikeluarkan arahan untuk bertugas sebagai polis pelancong di Pulau Pangkor,” katanya.
Razarudin berkata demikian kepada pemberita selepas Perhimpunan Bulanan Ibu Pejabat Polis Kontinjen Perak di sini, hari ini.
Terdahulu, Razarudin dalam ucapannya berkata Digital Vehicular Repeater System (DVRS) telah diwujudkan bagi menyelesaikan liputan perhubungan komunikasi di Pulau Pangkor.
Beliau berkata dengan pengurusan kemudahan prasarana yang telah dilakukan oleh Jabatan dan Teknologi PDRM (Polis Diraja Malaysia) Perak itu, beliau berharap kecemerlangan PDRM dapat dikekalkan dari semasa ke semasa.
