Konsep Koperasi Mampu Beri Tiga Keuntungan Kepada Pesawah Padi

KOTA TINGGI, 3 Nov 2019 — Konsep koperasi yang dirangka bagi tujuan penggabungan tanah sawah, mampu memberi sehingga tiga keuntungan kepada pesawah padi, kata Menteri Pertanian dan Industri Asas Tani Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub.

Katanya, model koperasi yang merangkumi konsep tanah kecil disewakan kepada koperasi, menjual padi kepada koperasi dan bekerja dengan koperasi itu, dijangka akan dikemukakan dalam masa lima ataupun enam bulan lagi sebelum ia dapat dilaksanakan.

Beliau berkata buat masa ini pihaknya sedang melakukan libat urus (engagement) bersama petani menerusi Pertubuhan Peladang Kawasan (PPK).

“Jika gunakan pendekatan koperasi sepenuhnya nanti, petani akan mendapat tiga keuntungan yang pertama tanah kecil akan disewakan kepada koperasi, bermakna pesawah dapat sewa.

“Kedua, apabila mereka jual padi kepada koperasi, mereka akan dapat saham dan sekiranya mereka bekerja dengan koperasi, maka mereka akan peroleh pendapatan. Jadi kita dapat lihat dengan konsep baru ini objektif kita untuk tingkatkan pendapatan petani akan jadi satu kenyataan,” katanya ketika diminta mengulas mengenai model koperasi bagi tujuan penggabungan tanah sawah.

Beliau berkata demikian selepas menghadiri Program Ramah Mesra dan Menembak Bersama Media sempena Hari Peladang, Penternak dan Nelayan Kebangsaan (HPPNK) di Ladang Rem, di sini, hari ini.

Turut hadir, Timbalan Ketua Setiausaha (Pembangunan) Kementerian Pertanian dan Industri Asas Tani Datuk Salim Parlan dan Ketua Pengarah Lembaga Pertubuhan Peladang (LPP) Azulita Salim.

Salahuddin berkata, beliau optimis konsep koperasi berkenaan akan mendapat sambutan daripada pesawah-pesawah jika ia berjaya dilancarkan.

“Konsep koperasi ini akan jadi satu contoh dan sekarang juga sudah nampak kejayaan menerusi projek padi pulut di Langkawi April lepas dan kita menyaksikan memang pemilik pesawah kecil ini bersedia, untuk menyerahkan tanah mereka itu untuk diurus tadbir… ini baru padi pulut yang berskala kecil, jadi saya optimis ia akan dapat sambutan,” katanya lagi.

September lalu, Perdana Menteri Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad dilaporkan berkata, kaedah penggabungan sawah padi dapat membantu menghapuskan kemiskinan, dalam kalangan pesawah padi dengan diusahakan sebagai estet perladangan.

Dalam perkembangan berlainan, Salahuddin berkata HPPNK 2019 yang akan diadakan di Plaza Angsana Johor Bahru pada 28 Nov ini, menyasarkan nilai jualan sebanyak RM30 juta menerusi padanan perniagaan dengan sasaran 500,000 pengunjung.

Beliau berkata, HPPNK yang diadakan bagi menghargai sumbangan penternak, nelayan serta peladang yang merupakan penyumbang utama makanan negara itu turut disertai 350 gerai jualan.
