TUMPAT, 3 Ogos 2019 — Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia (SKM) memberi sumbangan berjumlah RM10,000 untuk membaik pulih bumbung serta pendawaian Madrasah Qiraati Ar-Rahmaniah, Kampung Geting di sini yang rosak akibat dipukul ribut pada 15 Jun lepas.
Pengerusi Eksekutif SKM, Datuk Nordin Salleh berkata sumbangan itu sebagai tanda keprihatinan gerakan koperasi kepada masyarakat dalam meneruskan Tanggungjawab Sosial Korporat.
“Inilah keunikan koperasi, bukan sahaja kebajikan anggota dibantu malah kita turut bantu masyarakat, walaupun hanya sedikit tapi atas rasa tanggungjawab dan kesedaran kita bantu setakat yang termampu untuk meringankan bebanan mereka,” katanya kepada pemberita di majlis penyampaian sumbangan itu, di sini hari ini.
Katanya kejadian itu menyebabkan 600 orang pelajar terdiri daripada anak-anak anggota koperasi dan penduduk setempat hilang tempat belajar.
“Malah pengajian al-Quran dan Fardu Ain di madrasah berkenaan terpaksa diberhentikan serta-merta kerana struktur bangunan yang rosak teruk,” katanya.
