PETALING JAYA, 10 Jan 2020 — Cadangan untuk mewujudkan program latihan amali di Kementerian Pertanian dan Industri Asas Tani (MOA) khusus untuk anak-anak ahli Pertubuhan Peladang Kebangsaan (Nafas) dapat mendedahkan dan memupuk minat anak-anak petani menceburi bidang pertanian.
Ketua Setiausaha MOA, Datuk Zainal Azman Abu Seman, bagaimanapun berkata rancangan itu perlu diperincikan sebelum anak-anak peladang dibolehkan menjalani latihan bersama Pertubuhan Peladang Kebangsaan (Nafas) atau mana-mana jabatan dan agensi di kementerian itu.
“Saya lihat MOA dan agensi-agensi (di bawah MOA) boleh juga membantu mungkin dalam bidang yang sesuai untuk kita beri mereka (anak-anak peladang) peluang mendapatkan ‘internship’ (latihan amali) di kementerian dan jabatan yang bersesuaian.
“Kita perlu perincikan program internship ini untuk diikuti selama tiga bulan atau enam bulan. Kumpulan sasar daripada pelajar-pelajar cemerlang mungkin sesuai kerana mereka akan didedahkan dengan bidang tugas keluarga mereka dalam perladangan atau pertanian,” katanya selepas merasmikan Majlis Anugerah Perdana Yayasan Pelajaran Peladang (YPP), di sini Khamis.
Beliau turut mencadangkan agar Nafas menerusi program tanggungjawab sosial korporat mengadakan kerjasama strategik dengan MOA serta kementerian lain untuk mewujudkan bank makanan bagi anak-anak petani dan peladang di peringkat sekolah menengah bagi meringakan beban golongan itu.
“Bank makanan oleh Nafas dan MOA boleh bantu meringankan beban keluarga (petani dan peladang). Dalam kita meningkatkan pendapatan ibu bapa (anak-anak petani dan peladang), kita juga boleh meringankan beban anak-anak di sekolah,” jelasnya.
Pada majlis itu, Zainal Azman menyampaikan sumbangan sebagai penghargaan atas keputusan cemerlang 19 anak ahli peladang dalam pengajian peringkat ijazah pertama masing-masing di institusi pengajian tinggi awam berdasarkan pencapaian CGPA 3.50 dan ke atas.
Sumbangan hadiah wang tunai bernilai RM5,000 diberikan kepada penerima utama, Muhammad Faez Mohd Kamaruzaman, iaitu anak ahli peladang dari Pertubuhan Peladang Kawasan (PPK) Hulu Selangor, Selangor.
Muhammad Faez juga merupakan penerima Anugerah Naib Canselor dalam pengajian Ijazah Sarjana Muda (Kepujian) Kejuruteraan Kimia dari Universiti Teknologi Mara dengan CGPA 3.96.
Wan Nuraini Wan Rosdi, anak peladang PPK Sri Klana Lenggeng, Negeri Sembilan, yang merupakan graduan Ijazah Sarjana Muda Fiqh dan Fatwa (Kepujian) dari Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia dengan CGPA 3.89 menduduki tempat kedua dengan menerima RM4,000 manakala anak peladang dari PPK Kuala Kangsar, Perak, Nur Hidayah Yusoff yang memperoleh CGPA 3.87 bagi Ijazah Sarjana Muda Pendidikan (Bimbingan dan Kaunseling) dari Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris menerima RM3,000.
Sementara itu, 16 lagi penerima sumbangan sagu hati masing-masing menerima wang tunai bernilai RM1,000.
Ketika ditemui pemberita, Muhammad Faez, 26, berkata beliau berbesar hati untuk mengikut latihan amali di MOA sekiranya program itu dilaksanakan.
Wan Nuraini, 25, pula berkata, ibu bapanya merupakan sumber inspirasi untuk terus maju dalam pelajaran dan wang sumbangan yang diperolehinya itu sedikit sebanyak dapat membantu menampung pembiayaan pendidikan beliau di peringkat ijazah Sarjana dalam bidang perundangan.
Turut hadir pada majlis itu, Timbalan Ketua Setiausaha MOA, Datuk Haslina Abdul Hamid, Pengerusi Ahli Jemaah Pengarah Nafas yang juga Pengerusi Yayasan Pelajaran Peladang (YPP), Datul Phahrolrazi Mohd Zawawi dan Pengurus Besar Nafas, Ahmad Shaari.
