KUALA LUMPUR, 29 Dis 2019 — Tourism Malaysia menerusi Malaysia Association Tour Agency (MATA) memperkenalkan perkhidmatan “Big Bike In The City” sebagai satu produk pelancongan baharu bersempena Tahun Melawat Malaysia 2020 (VMY2020), di sini hari ini.
Ia akan menyediakan satu pengalaman yang menyeronokkan bagi pelancong yang menjadi pembonceng atau penunggang motosikal berkuasa tinggi atau kedua-duanya di sekitar destinasi menarik di seluruh negara yang juga merupakan wadah tumpuan pelbagai budaya.
Pelancong boleh menikmati suasana Malaysia yang berbeza daripada kota metropolis yang sibuk kepada desa yang menenangkan menerusi mod pengangkutan alternatif ini.
Timbalan Ketua Pengarah Tourism Malaysia Datuk Mohmed Razip Hasan berkata perkhidmatan ini merupakan sebahagian daripada persiapan untuk mempromosi dan menyambut ketibaan 30 juta pelancong asing dan menjana perolehan pelancongan sebanyak RM100 bilion yang disasarkan, tahun hadapan.
“Tinggal hanya dua hari lagi untuk ketibaan Tahun Melawat Malaysia 2020 dan menerusi acara ini Malaysia akan dipromosi dengan hebatnya. Untuk VMY2020, kami sudah memulakan kempen lebih awal lagi, dilancarkan pada bulan Julai lepas dan ini menunjukkan kami adalah serius.
“…Sepanjang kempen itu, kami melihat dan menerima sokongan penuh daripada badan bukan kerajaan, persatuan dan penyedia perkhidmatan,” katanya dalam satu sidang akhbar selepas majlis pelancaran.
Sementara itu, Presiden MATA Datuk Mohd Khalid Harun berkata kerjasama dengan Tourism Malaysia adalah satu simbol baik kerjasama antara agensi kerajaan dan persatuan pelancongan.
“Kami merasa terpanggil bagi membantu kerajaan untuk VMY2020 dan ini merupakan matlamat utama kami menubuhkan persatuan ini, kami akan memudah cara ahli-ahli kami untuk melibat urus dengan pemegang kepentingan, terutamanya kerajaan bagi mereka bekerjasama dan menyediakan peluang kepada ahli-ahli kami.
(Big Bike In The City) menyediakan perkhidmatan kepada penunggang-penunggang motosikal untuk melancong di Malaysia,” katanya.
Perkhidmatan Big Bike in The City disediakan oleh Nomad Motorcycle Adventure dan kira-kira 70 motosikal berkuasa tinggi terlibat dalam majlis pelepasan selepas pelancaran hari ini.
Kumpulan bermotosikal itu melawat kawasan-kawasan menarik di sekitar pusat bandar bermula daripada The Love @ MaTic, melalui Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan Raja Chulan, Jalan Bukit Bintang, Dataran Merdeka, Memorial Tugu Negara, Istana Negara, Batu Caves dan Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC).
MATA ditubuhkan pada tahun ini bagi menyatukan semua peserta industri pelancongan di bawah satu bumbung dan memberi perlindungan kepada ahli-ahlinya.
