KOTA KINABALU, 16 Dis 2019 — Koperasi Kemajuan Perikanan dan Nelayan Sabah (Ko-Nelayan) telah menyalurkan peruntukan RM3.9 juta untuk pembangunan nelayan di Sabah sepanjang tahun 2019.
Pengurus Besar Ko-Nelayan, Yusof Awang Besar berkata peruntukan berkenaan bagi melaksanakan projek yang menumpukan kepada penyampaian perkhidmatan pembangunan, perkhidmatan latihan, pengeluaran benih ikan marin, penternakan ikan dalam sangkar dan pengeluaran ikan hiasan.
“Kejayaan yang dicapai oleh KO-Nelayan dalam melaksanakan program dan menyalurkan bantuan kepada masyarakat nelayan serta membangunkan infrastruktur demi kesejahteraan nelayan sudah tentu tidak terlaksana tanpa usaha gigih dan semangat kerjasama semua pihak,” katanya.
Beliau berkata demikian pada Jamuan Malam Ko-Nelayan di sini, malam tadi yang turut di hadiri Menteri Pertanian dan Industri Makanan Sabah Datuk Junz Wong dan Pengerusi Ko-Nelayan Datuk Awang Ahmad Sah.
Yusof berkata Ko-Nelayan juga menyumbang kepada Petunjuk Prestasi Utama (KPI) negeri melalui inisiatif antaranya Penyediaan Skim Kredit Ko-Nelayan kepada 70 nelayan, Penyediaan Skim Kredit Ko-Nelayan kepada 52 pengusaha pemproses hiliran perikanan.
“Selain itu, Ko-Nelayan membuat pengagihan 102.149 juta liter diesel bersubsidi kepada nelayan dan pemberian 108,000 benih ikan kerapu hybrid kepada 20 penternak.
“Oleh itu saya berharap agar semua warga kerja Ko-Nelayan dapat terus mengamalkan budaya kerjasama yang jitu agar dapat merealisasi visi dan misi yang disasarkan,” tambahnya.
