SHAH ALAM, 3 Dis: Ilmu kemahiran pelajar tahfiz bakal dipertingkatkan, termasuk meraih peluang pekerjaan lebih luas apabila cadangan mewujudkan Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Tahfiz dilaksanakan kelak.
Timbalan Menteri Sumber Manusia, Datuk Mahfuz Omar, berkata selain menghafal Al-Quran, pelajar aliran Tahfiz dapat belajar kemahiran dalam bidang lain yang sesuai dengan pasaran pekerjaan pada masa depan.
Penubuhan SKM Tahfiz itu, katanya membawa objektif sama seperti program Pendidikan Teknikal dan Latihan Vokasional (TVET) Tahfiz yang diperkenalkan sebelum ini, yang membolehkan pelajar aliran itu beroleh sijil TVET.
“Sekarang ini, apabila pelajar aliran Tahfiz tamat pengajian, mereka hanya ada sijil pendidikan daripada institusi itu.
”Namun dengan mewujudkan SKM Tahfiz ini, mereka bukan sahaja ada kemahiran menghafal Al-Quran tetapi mempunyai kemahiran dalam bidang lain,” katanya, memetik kenyataannya kepada media selepas merasmikan Program Persijilan Profesional Modular (Keselamatan Siber) di sini, baru ini.
Mahfuz juga berkata, lebih 70 pengusaha pusat tahfiz yang ditemuinya di Kedah terbuka terhadap cadangan berkenaan.
”Saya kemukakan cadangan itu kepada mereka dan nampaknya mereka sangat terbuka dalam melihat masa depan lebih cerah kepada pelajar tahfiz. Saya harap Kedah akan menjadi perintis kepada usaha ini nanti,” katanya.
