TAWAU, 30 Nov 2019 — Seramai 16,296 pencari kerja di negeri ini ditawarkan pekerjaan dalam 29 penganjuran program Pesta Kerja di Sabah pada tahun ini, kata Ketua Penolong Pengarah (Bahagian Perkhidmatan Pekerjaan) Jabatan Tenaga Kerja Sabah, Othman Abdullah.
Katanya statistik itu bukti bahawa program berkenaan berjaya dan membantu memudahkan pencari kerja untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan setaraf kelulusan.
“Program di Tawau ini merupakan siri ke 30 Job Fair pada tahun ini dan yang terakhir.
“Pada tahun hadapan 35 program Pesta Kerja akan diadakan di Sabah dan ini termasuk di Tawau dan Kalabakan,” katanya.
Beliau berkata demikian kepada pemberita selepas program Pesta Kerja Tawau di UTC Tawau yang dirasmikan Presiden Majlis Perbandaran Tawau (MPT), Datuk Ir Amrullah Kamal, hari ini.
Dalam pada itu, Othman berkata Jabatan Tenaga Kerja akan mengadakan kerjasama strategik dengan Kementerian Pelajaran dan Inovasi Sabah serta Jabatan Pembangunan Sumber Manusia selain agensi berkaitan bagi menyediakan platform peluang pekerjaan.
“Hari ini sahaja seramai 13 majikan menyertai Pesta Pekerjaan Tawau dengan 1,520 pekerjaan ditawarkan untuk 452 lepasan siswazah dan bakinya bagi kelayakan bukan siswazah,” katanya.
Sementara itu, Amrullah berharap pencari kerja di daerah ini memanfaatkan peluang disediakan Jabatan Tenaga Kerja melalui platform Pesta Pekerjaan untuk mencari kerja
Katanya, peluang yang disediakan perlu direbut dan golongan siswazah juga diingat supaya tidak terlalu memilih pekerjaan dengan keadaan ekonomi yang semakin mencabar.
