ALOR SETAR, 19 Nov: Angkatan Pertahanan Awam (APM) sedang meneliti kaedah bersesuaian, ternasuk mengenai terma sukarelawan bagi membolehkan 4,200 sukarelawan sepenuh masanya diberi caruman Pertubuhan Keselamatan Sosial (Perkeso).
Ketua Pesuruhjaya APM, Datuk Roslan Wahab, berkata pemberian caruman itu dijangka bermula tahun depan.
Buat masa ini, menurutnya perbincangan masih berjalan di antara APM dan Perkeso yang sebelum ini, ada meminta pihaknya melaksanakan beberapa pendekatan, antaranya menukar terma sukarelawan membabitkan anggota terbabit.
“Kita juga tengok pendekatan lain yang boleh dilakukan bagi membolehkan caruman dibuat kerana apabila ada perkataan sukarela ia tak boleh masuk dalam skim caruman.
“Seramai 4,200 anggota sukarelawan yang bertugas sepenuh masa di bahagian operasi dan pejabat paling memerlukan perlindungan awal dan kita perlu membantu sukarelawan separuh masa bagi memastikan mereka dilindungi,” katanya, memetik kenyataannya kepada media selepas menghadiri majlis Himpunan Setia APM Kedah di sini, baru ini.
