KUALA LUMPUR, 25 Okt 2019 — Garis panduan baharu Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur yang mensyaratkan pemaju supaya menyediakan asrama sementara kepada pekerja di tapak binaan, dapat menangani isu kebersihan di kawasan berkenaan selain menjamin keselamatan orang awam dan pekerja itu sendiri.
Menurut Datuk Bandar Kuala Lumpur, Datuk Nor Hisham Ahmad Dahlan, DBKL merupakan PBT pertama memperkenalkan garis panduan ini dan ia telah mula dilaksanakan sejak Julai lalu.
“Kemudahan asrama yang terkawal dilihat dapat memberi impak positif dalam menangani isu sosial, keselamatan orang ramai serta pekerja selain aspek pengawalan pekerja di tapak binaan.
“Jika kita lihat di kebanyakan tapak binaan ketika ini, aspek kebersihan tidak dititik beratkan yang boleh menyebabkan denggi dan sebagainya. Tetapi garis panduan ini kita bukan laksanakan serentak, mana-mana (projek) rumah yang sedang dibuat, perlahan-lahan sort out, tetapi untuk projek baharu nanti, kena masuk dalam kebenaran merancang supaya pemaju mematuhinya,” katanya.
Beliau berkata demikian selepas merasmikan majlis pelancaran Garis Panduan Asrama Sementara Pekerja Dalam Bangunan Bertingkat di Tapak Binaan di sini, hari ini.
Garis panduan itu, katanya akan diguna pakai bagi cadangan pembangunan jenis bangunan bertingkat (High Rise Building) dan khusus untuk binaan dalam bangunan bagi kawasan atau tapak pembinaan yang mempunyai saiz tapak yang terhad.
