KUALA LUMPUR, 11 Okt: Kerajaan mengumumkan pemberian Bantuan Khas Kewangan RM500 kepada kakitangan Gred 56 dan ke bawah, manakala pesara kerajaan akan menerima separuh daripada kadar yang ditetapkan itu.
Ketika membentangkan Belanjawan 2020 hari ini, Menteri Kewangan, Lim Guan Eng, berkata bantuan berjumlah RM250 yang diperuntukkan kepada pesara kerajaan juga akan diperpanjangkan kepada veteran tidak berpencen.
“Kedua-dua bantuan ini akan dibayar sebelum akhir 2019,” katanya di Dewan Rakyat.
Juga diumumkan, seramai 14,400 anggota bomba di seluruh negara bakal menikmati manfaat daripada pemberian Elaun Khas Skim Perkhidmatan Bomba sebanyak RM200 sebulan, membabitkan peruntukan sebanyak RM35 juta.
Kenaikan elaun turut diberikan kepada anggota Jabatan Sukarelawan Malaysia (RELA) iaitu RM2 sejam.
Kerajaan turut mengumumkan kenaikan Kadar Bantuan Sara Hidup (COLA) sebanyak RM50 sebulan bagi kumpulan pelaksana, membabitkan peruntukan tambahan sebanyak RM350 juta setahun.
