PENDANG, 22 Sept: Kementerian Sumber Manusia menafikan laporan berhubung dakwaan ada majikan di negara ini yang memilih dan mengambil pekerja berdasarkan kaum tertentu sehingga mengetepikan hak kaum lain.
Timbalan Menterinya, Datuk Mahfuz Omar, berkata isu itu tidak seharusnya timbul kerana berdasarkan maklumat yang diperolehi daripada Jabatan Tenaga Kerja dan JobStreet Malaysia, belum ada sebarang aduan diterima mengenainya.
Beliau, ketika mengulas wujudnya dakwaan di media sosial mengenai isu perkauman dalam pengambilan pekerja oleh majikan, berkata jika berlaku sekali pun, ia adalah terpencil dan membabitkan sentimen invidu tertentu dan bukannya syarikat.
“Kalau ada pun, bagi saya ia kes terpencil yang tak sepatutnya menjadi isu. Mungkin boleh jadi ada sentiman individu di situ dan bukannya daripada syarikat berkenaan.
“Pada hakikatnya, tidak ada majikan mengambil pekerja mereka berorientasikan satu kaum dan elemen seperti itu tidak sepatutnya berlaku dan dibangkitkan masyarakat,” katanya, memetik kenyataannya kepada media.
Beliau ditemui pada Program Sepakat Malaysiaku Harapanku di sini, semalam. Program itu menyaksikan penglibatan sebanyak 21 syarikat swasta yang menawarkan lebih 1,000 peluang pekerjaan untuk diisi oleh pencari kerja.
