Tiga Individu Dalam Kokas Disyaki Terlibat Kes Pecah Amanah RM3.4 juta

KUCHING, 20 Sept 2019 — Polis telah merujuk kertas siasatan berkaitan tiga individu, masing-masing bekas pengerusi, setiausaha dan bendahari Koperasi Automobil Kuching Sarawak Berhad (Kokas), yang disyaki menyalahgunakan dana kerajaan berjumlah RM3.4juta, kepada Jabatan Peguam Negara Sarawak.

Ketua Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Komersial Sarawak, Supt Mustafa Kamal Gani Abdullah berkata kertas siasatan ketiga-tiga suspek berusia 50-an itu dirujuk kepada Jabatan Peguam Negara Sarawak Selasa lepas, dan akan merujuk kepada Jabatan Peguam Negara di Putrajaya Rabu ini untuk tindakan lanjut.

“Kita cadangkan suspek dituduh di bawah Seksyen 409 Kanun Keseksaan,” katanya pada sidang media yang turut dihadiri Ketua Pasukan Siasatan Jenayah Pengubahan Wang Haram (AMLA) Urus Setia Ketua Polis Negara (KPN) Bukit Aman, SAC Datuk Khalil Azlan Chik, hari ini.

Kokas adalah sebuah koperasi yang dilantik untuk menerima dana kerajaan bagi menjalankan Program Pemodenan Bengkel Automatif dan Program Transformasi Kedai Runcit (Tukar) di Sarawak, di mana RM7.5 juta telah disalurkan kerajaan kepada Kokas sejak Mei 2012.

Tuduhan pecah amanah jenayah mengikut Seksyen 409 Kanun Keseksaan boleh membawa hukuman penjara tidak lebih 20 tahun, rotan dan denda, jika sabit kesalahan.

Menurutnya 102 individu dipanggil untuk memberi keterangan dalam siasatan kes berkenaan sejak dimulakan 21 Sept tahun lepas.

Sementara itu Khalil berkata ketiga-tiga suspek itu dikesan menyalahgunakan dana yang sepatutnya digunakan untuk tujuan program pemodenan tetapi sebaliknya telah digunakan untuk tujuan selain daripada yang dibenarkan.

Katanya susulan siasatan kes berkenaan, satu kertas siasatan baharu dibuka pada 26 Jun lepas di bawah Seksyen 4(1) Akta Pencegahan Pengubahan Wang Haram, Pencegahan Pembiayaan Keganasan dan Hasil Daripada Aktiviti Haram (AMLATFPUAA) 2001.

Beliau berkata di bawah siasatan berkenaan, 57 individu dan lapan entiti berkaitan ketiga-tiga suspek telah disyaki terlibat dengan kegiatan jenayah penggubahan wang haram.

“Mereka adalah rakan sekutu, anak-anak dan rakan-rakan. Dalam siasatan AMLA kita akan buat profile ke atas keluarga dan sekutu suspek dan kita akan siasat harta-harta mereka sekiranya wang itu dimasukkan ke dalam harta-harta milik sekutu atau keluarga, mereka juga akan dianggap sebagai suspek,” katanya.

Khalil berkata polis turut menyita kesemua harta suspek, termasuk membekukan 71 akaun bank dengan nilai RM2.95juta, 16 kenderaan pelbagai jenis bernilai RM763,000, 13 hartanah dengan anggaran nilai RM2.37 juta dan barang-barang perhiasan serta wang tunai bernilai RM90,650.

“Mereka tidak ditahan, hanya disiasat. Mengikut undang-undang kita mempunyai tempoh setahun untuk menyiasat dan selepas itu baru kita putuskan sama ada akan dituduh atau semua harta-benda akan dilepaskan,” katanya.
