PUTRAJAYA, 12 Sept: Garis panduan keselamatan untuk pekerja khidmat penghantaran menggunakan motosikal yang sedang dirangka Majlis Negara bagi Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan (MNKKP) akan memfokus kepada prosedur kerja selamat di jalan raya.
Timbalan Menteri Sumber Manusia, Datuk Mahfuz Omar, berkata ia meliputi pekerja penghantaran yang menggunakan motosikal seperti dalam penghantaran makanan dan barang serta dijangka siap dalam tempoh tiga atau empat bulan lagi
Selain itu, menurutnya ia turut membabitkan perkhidmatan lain yang akan diwujudkan menggunakan kaedah sama.
“Ia akan memfokus mengenai prosedur kerja selamat di jalan raya seperti daripada aspek pemakaian selamat dan pelbagai lagi.
“Kita akan melihat secara menyeluruh dan spesifik apa kekurangan serta penambahbaikan yang perlu bagi menghasilkan garis panduan lengkap mengenai sektor pekerjaan ini,” katanya, memetik kenyataannya pada sidang media selepas merasmikan Seminar Kesedaran Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan bersama media di sini, semalam.
Garis panduan itu, kata Mahfuz lagi, dirangka dengan kerjasama beberapa agensi, selain badan bukan kerajaan (NGO).
“Kerjasama dengan pelbagai pihak termasuk Jabatan Keselamatan Jalan Raya (JKKR), Institut Penyelidikan Keselamatan Jalan Raya Malaysia (Miros) dan Pertubuhkan Keselamatan Sosial (Perkeso) selain badan bukan kerajaan (NGO) bagi melihat isu berkaitan keselamatan mereka yang bekerja di jalan raya ini,” tambahnya.
