KUANTAN, 30 Ogos: Program Latihan dan Kerjaya (PLKK) bagi membantu masyarakat Orang Asli, terutama generasi mudanya mendapatkan pekerjaan, sehingga kini, telah berjaya membantu seramai 3,200 orang di Pahang.
Pengarah Jabatan Kemajuan Orang Asli (Jakoa), Johari Alwi, berkata program seumpama itu memudahkan pihaknya mengenalpasti kecenderungan belia Orang Asli dalam bidang pekerjaan sebelum ditawarkan tempat untuk menjalani latihan.
Ia katanya, dikendalikan Jakoa dengan pelbagai agensi pekerjaan yang menawarkan latihan dalam pekerjaan kepada belia Orang Asli di negeri ini.
Seramai 8,000 Orang Asli sudah mengikuti PLKK sejak ia diperkenalkan pada tahun 2010.
“Selepas latihan selama tiga bulan, mereka ditempatkan di agensi pekerjaan yang bersesuaian dengan tawaran gaji menarik dan pelbagai kelebihan lain,” katanya, memetik kenyataannya kepada media, di sini, baru ini.
Jakoa Pahang, sebelum ini, melancarkan Jelajah Jom Masuk PLKK, di mana sebanyak 19 kursus ditawarkan menerusi siri kali ini yang merangkumi bidang kemahiran minyak dan gas, kursus kecantikan, sektor perhotelan dan pengendalian jentera berat.
