KUALA LUMPUR, 16 Julai 2019 — Sebanyak 243,000 peluang pekerjaan baharu berjaya diwujudkan berdasarkan data suku tahunan Jabatan Perangkaan Malaysia (DOSM) sejak Mei 2018 hingga Mac lepas, kata Menteri Sumber Manusia M. Kula Segaran.
Beliau berkata angka tersebut adalah berdasarkan kepada jumlah guna tenaga pada suku pertama 2019 berjumlah 15,010,200 orang berbanding jumlah guna tenaga pada suku kedua pada 2018 sebanyak 14,767,200.
“Data terkini mengenai gaji belum dikeluarkan DOSM. Bagaimanapun data sedia ada bagi suku kedua 2019 untuk gaji pada 2017 menunjukkan bahawa gaji purata mengikut kemahiran adalah RM4,574 (sebulan) bagi tenaga kerja mahir, RM1,947 untuk tenaga kerja separa mahir dan RM1,531 bagi tenaga kerja berkemahiran rendah.
“Menerusi Rancangan Malaysia Ke-11, jumlah guna tenaga pada 2020 dijangka mencecah 15,347,500 orang, peningkatan sebanyak 580,300 sejak Pakatan Harapan (PH) memerintah,” katanya pada persidangan Dewan Rakyat, di sini hari ini.
Beliau menjawab soalan Khairy Jamaluddin (BN-Rembau) yang ingin tahu jumlah pekerjaan dengan gaji sekurang-kurangnya RM2,500 sebulan, berjaya dicipta untuk tempoh setahun lalu dan langkah akan diambil bagi memastikan satu juta pekerjaan dengan gaji RM2,500 sebulan dapat diwujud dalam tempoh lima tahun.
Kula Segaran berkata data tersebut menunjukkan kerajaan mampu mewujudkan peluang pekerjaan dalam anggaran 200,000 setahun dan dijangka dapat menghasilkan satu juta peluang pekerjaan dalam tempoh lima tahun.
“Bagi memastikan satu juta pekerjaan dengan gaji RM2,500 (sebulan) dapat dicipta dalam tempoh lima tahun ini, kerajaan akan menarik lebih banyak pelaburan langsung asing (FDI) atau pelaburan langsung domestik (DDI) yang menyumbang kepada penghasilan ‘high value jobs’ dan ‘knowledge worker (k-worker)’, yang mana negara perlu bersifat selektif dalam menarik pelaburan, iaitu menolak pelaburan berintensif buruh dan bergaji rendah.
“Selain itu, menambah nilai kerja melalui inovasi dan kreativiti dengan memperbanyakkan elemen automasi berteknologi tinggi bagi meningkatkan lagi peluang pekerjaan berkemahiran tinggi untuk pencari kerja berkemahiran serta mengambil langkah sesuai dengan kerjasama industri untuk mengurangkan kebergantungan terhadap pekerja asing yang bergaji rendah,” katanya.
