KUALA LUMPUR, 11 Julai 2019 — Kerajaan akan menambah baik langkah-langkah sedia ada dan mewujudkan lebih banyak program atau mekanisme bagi membantu rakyat mendapatkan pekerjaan sekaligus mengurangkan kadar penggangguran negara khususnya di kalangan belia.
Perdana Menteri Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad berkata antara usaha yang dilaksanakan kerajaan ialah menyediakan portal perkhidmatan pekerjaan Job Malaysia yang memberi kemudahan kepada pencari kerja untuk mendapatkan kerja yang bersesuaian.
“Ianya melalui pendekatan pemadanan kerja serta menganjurkan program penempatan pekerjaan merangkumi karnival kerjaya, temuduga terbuka, program kerjasama antara agensi, holiday placement for students sertai program penempatan golongan khas,” katanya pada Waktu Pertanyaan-Pertanyaan Menteri di Dewan Rakyat, hari ini.
Dr Mahathir berkata seramai 3,890 orang pencari kerja telah berjaya mendapat penempatan pekerjaan bagi tempoh Januari hingga Mac lepas.
Beliau menjawab soalan Ma’mun Sulaiman (Warisan-Kalabakan) yang bertanya langkah-langkah yang akan diambil oleh kerajaan untuk mengurangkan kadar penggangguran belia dan membantu golongan belia mendapatkan pekerjaan.
