BACHOK, 4 Julai 2019 — Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) menyediakan empat latihan asas kepada pelajar Fakulti Teknologi dan Kemahiran Warisan (FTKW) bagi melahirkan lebih ramai usahawan berjaya dalam kalangan mahasiswa universiti itu seterusnya dapat membuka peluang pekerjaan kepada orang lain.
Timbalan Pengarah, Aktiviti Keusahawanan UMK Wan Yusoff Wan Ibrahim berkata empat latihan itu ialah Young Preneur Booth Camp (YPBC), Bengkel Kewangan Syarikat Pelajar (BKSP), Bengkel Pemantapan Syarikat Pelajar (BPSP) dan Young e-Commerce Preneur (YEP) iaitu latihan pemerkasaan pelajar.
“Latihan yang disediakan mengikut peringkat dengan pelajar semester 1 dan 2 akan diberikan latihan YPBC supaya boleh mengenal pasti pelajar yang ada idea dan potensi dan hasilnya nanti pelajar bersedia untuk mendaftar perniagaan dengan Syarikat Siswa Universiti (SSU) dan Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM).
“Untuk tahap berikutnya iaitu BKSP, pelajar akan didedahkan untuk membuat akaun asas dan pengurusan kewangan kendiri dengan dibantu pensyarah untuk memastikan perniagaan yang mereka wujudkan itu kekal dan berjaya,” katanya kepada Bernama.
Katanya sehingga kini, lebih kurang 700 pelajar terbabit secara langsung dengan program perniagaan dan terdapat 376 syarikat SSU berdaftar dengan 100 daripadanya adalah aktif.
“Pihak universiti juga kini sedang dalam proses untuk mengemas kini data pelajar dan perniagaan yang mereka jalankan itu,” katanya.
Penubuhan FTKW itu sendiri kata Wan Yusoff, memang bertujuan melestarikan warisan dan mengungguli teknologi kreatif dalam bidang keusahawanan kreatif selaras dengan Dasar Industri Kreatif Negara (DIKN, 2009) di peringkat global.
“Tujuan FTKW itu sendiri selari dengan visi dan misi UMK sebagai universiti keusahawanan untuk melahirkan graduan yang kompeten dengan ciri-ciri keusahawanan, berkemahiran dan berketerampilan tinggi dalam bidang reka bentuk, teknologi kreatif, warisan dan keusahawanan kreatif di peringkat pengajian Pra Siswazah dan Pasca Siswazah,” katanya.
Menurutnya lagi pelajar FTKW mempunyai produk tersendiri yang menggunakan bersama teknologi kreatif dan warisan seperti pembuatan batik, ukiran, tekstil dan pelbagai industri lain yang terdapat dalam pasaran sekarang.
Wan Yusoff berkata dua graduan kebanggaan universiti itu ialah pengusaha susu C2Joy dan Tati Kosmetik yang sudah bergelar jutawan walaupun baru empat tahun meninggalkan universiti manakala dua pelajar sarjana kini memperoleh pendapatan hampir RM20,000 sebulan yang mengusahakan kios usahawan pelajar.
