KUALA LUMPUR, 29 Jun 2019 — Isu perjawatan kakitangan stesen penyiaran Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) terutama yang berstatus ‘piecemeal’ (pekerja sementara/sambilan) diharap dapat diselesaikan sebelum hujung tahun ini.
Menteri Komunikasi dan Multimedia Gobind Singh Deo berkata isu pekerja itu masih dalam perbincangan dengan Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA).
“Kita telah minta RTM memberikan cadangan, termasuk cadangan daripada kakitangan yang terlibat, selepas itu kita telah sampaikannya kepada JPA, dan ia masih dalam perbincangan.
“Kita berharap mungkin sebelum tahun ini berakhir ada satu ‘solution’ kepada masalah ini,” katanya kepada pemberita selepas menghadiri Majlis Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2019 Persatuan Veteran RTM (PVRTM) di Angkasapuri di sini, hari ini.
Penaung Diraja PVRTM Tengku Permaisuri Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin turut berkenan berangkat ke majlis berkenaan.
Terdahulu sebelum ini menteri itu diminta mempertimbangkan agar kakitangan berstatus kontrak dan ‘piecemeal’ RTM diserapkan ke status tetap berikutan kebanyakan kakitangan berstatus sedemikian di RTM telah bekerja 10 tahun dan ke atas serta berpengalaman.
Gobind berkata beliau amat prihatin dengan isu perjawatan di stesen itu kerana ia melibatkan warga media yang tidak pernah kenal erti lelah menyajikan berita untuk rakyat negara ini.
Usaha untuk menyelesaikan isu berkenaan telah dimulakan sejak awal tahun ini dan diharap dapat diselesaikan secepat mungkin.
Beliau berkata pekerja berstatus ‘piecemeal’ ini tidak mendapat pelbagai manfaat seperti pekerja berstatus kontrak termasuk caruman ke dalam Kumpulan Simpanan Wang Pekerja (KWSP).
“Saya mahu satu keadaan di mana kakitangan yang tekun dan rajin mendapat apa yang mereka patut dapat,” katanya.
Sementara itu dalam ucapannya, Gobind berkata generasi penyiar baharu RTM perlu menjadikan pengalaman bekas penyiar sebagai rujukan untuk terus memantapkan operasi stesen itu.
Beliau berkata ia sebagai mengekalkan indentiti dan personaliti RTM sebagai penyiar yang bertanggungjawab.
“Dalam persekitaran dunia penyiaran yang amat mencabar dewasa ini sudah tentu pengalaman memainkan peranan penting sebagai asas untuk melangkah kedepan seiring kemajuan teknologi masa kini.
“Dalam hal ini saya berharap pengalaman PVRTM dapat dirujuk,” katanya.
Dalam pada itu Gobind berharap PVRTM dapat meneruskan perkhidmatan dengan memberi ceramah dan motivasi kepada kakitangan yang ada pada masa ini.
“Walaupun zaman telah berubah dan kreativiti adalah subjektif, tetapi kreativiti yang baik dapat dipupuk dan kualiti kandungan dapat ditingkatkan berdasarkan pengalaman lalu,” katanya.
