PUTRAJAYA, 1 Julai 2019 — Penglibatan pemandu e-hailing orang kurang upaya (OKU) menduduki ujian bagi mendapatkan lesen Kenderaan Perkhidmatan Awam (PSV) agak memberangsangkan yang mana sehingga kini seramai 256 daripada 367 OKU telah pun berbuat demikian, kata Menteri Pengangkutan Anthony Loke Siew Fook.
Beliau berkata kesemua 256 OKU itu menduduki sesi ujian PSV yang dikendalikan secara berkelompok di Dewan Serbaguna, Kementerian Pengangkutan yang dikendalikan sepenuhnya oleh Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan (JPJ) di sini hari ini.
“Mungkin ada 100 orang (pemandu e-hailing OKU yang tak hadir ujian) kita lihat cara bagaimana membantu mereka.
“Kalau mereka berada di negeri-negeri lain yang tak dapat hadir (ujian PSV) di Lembah Klang, kita akan lihat bagaimana nak bantu dari segi logistik,” katanya ketika ditemui pemberita selepas merasmikan program khas lesen PSV kepada pemandu e-hailing OKU di sini hari ini.
Loke berkata JPJ akan memaklumkan keputusan ujian dan mengeluarkan kad PSV selepas lima hari ujian PSV dilaksanakan.
Sebelum ini, Loke dilaporkan berkata mulai Julai 2019, semua pemandu perkhidmatan e-hailing perlu menduduki kursus dan memperoleh lesen PSV sama seperti yang diwajibkan ke atas pemandu teksi.
Ia adalah sebahagian langkah kerajaan untuk mengawal selia industri perkhidmatan e-hailing dan mewujudkan persekitaran yang sama rata seperti perkhidmatan teksi.
Loke berkata kos bagi proses pengambilan lesen PSV untuk pemandu e-hailing OKU berjumlah RM320 seorang akan ditanggung oleh pihak EHO seperti Grab, MyCar, Dacsee dan EZcab sebagai tanggungjawab sosial.
Dalam pada itu, Loke menepis dakwaan Persatuan Pemandu Grab Malaysia bahawa kadar kegagalan lulus peperiksaan Lesen Vokasional (PSV-Teksi/E-hailing) sangat tinggi.
Beliau sebaliknya berkata mengikut maklumat yang diterima, majoriti pemandu lulus ujian tersebut dan pihaknya akan mengulas lanjut mengenai isu itu dalam satu sidang media khas kemudian.
Loke berkata pihaknya kini dalam proses membenarkan e-hailing beroperasi dalam kerangka undang-undang yang mana kementeriannya akan memudahkan segala proses berkaitan bagi membantu golongan OKU.
