SHAH ALAM, 20 Jun 2019 — Seramai 43 warga asing termasuk seorang remaja ditahan Jabatan Imigresen Selangor dalam empat operasi berasingan di Shah Alam, Subang dan Klang, semalam.
Pengarahnya, Mohamad Shukri Nawi berkata operasi selama tujuh jam bermula pukul 4.30 petang dengan kekuatan 18 pegawai serta anggota itu menyasarkan tiga kedai gunting rambut, sebuah restoran dalam pasar raya, kawasan penempatan serta sebuah pusat urut.
Beliau berkata dalam operasi pertama di tiga kedai gunting rambut di TTDI Jaya Shah Alam, tiga warga asing dipercayai bekerja di premis itu diperiksa namun dua ditahan untuk siasatan lanjut atas pelbagai kesalahan Imigresen.
“Dalam operasi kedua di sebuah restoran dalam pasar raya di Subang itu pula, hasil pemeriksaan ke atas 15 warga asing, sembilan yang dipercayai pekerja di situ ditahan selain dua ditangkap di sekitar premis berkenaan kerana cuba mengelak daripada diperiksa anggota Imigresen.
“Operasi di Kampung Baru Hicom Shah Alam pula dilakukan hasil aduan orang awam yang sering melihat lambakan warga asing di situ. Walaupun ada segelintir cuba melarikan diri semasa serbuan dijalankan, namun usaha mereka digagalkan anggota kami dan hasilnya, 23 warga asing ditahan atas pelbagai kesalahan Imigresen,” katanya dalam satu kenyataan, di sini hari ini.
Mohamad Shukri berkata dalam operasi terakhir di sebuah pusat urut dan rawatan kesihatan di Bandar Baru Klang, lima warga asing termasuk seorang remaja lelaki yang dipercayai bekerja di premis itu ditahan manakala dua lagi ditangkap di sekitar kawasan itu kerana dilihat mencurigakan apabila menyedari kehadiran anggota Imigresen.
Beliau berkata kesemua 43 warga asing yang ditahan itu terdiri daripada 34 lelaki serta lapan wanita dan berumur antara 17 hingga 43 tahun.
Mereka terdiri daripada warga Indonesia sebanyak 11 orang, Bangladesh (lima), Pakistan (dua), India (13), Vietnam (dua) dan Myanmar seramai sepuluh orang termasuk remaja lelaki berkenaan, kata Mohamad Shukri.
Menurutnya lagi, kesemua mereka disiasat di bawah Seksyen 6(1)(c) Akta Imigresen 1959/63 kerana tidak memiliki sebarang pas atau permit yang sah, Seksyen 15(1)(c) akta yang sama kerana permit tamat tempoh dan Peraturan 39(b), Peraturan-peraturan Imigresen 1963 kerana menyalahgunakan pas.
