PADANG BESAR, 20 Jun 2019 — Syarikat tempatan, Konsortium Beseri Jaya Sdn Bhd (KBJ), dan Hanwha Energy Corp Singapore Pte Ltd (Hanwha) menubuhkan KBJ Hecmy untuk melabur lebih RM220 juta bagi membangunkan 30 megawatt (MW) tenaga solar potovoltan di Kampung Perawah, Chuping.
Naib Presiden Kanan Unit Perniagaan Asia Hanwha James Lee berkata KBJ Hecmy berjaya membida pakej P3 (10MW hingga 30MWa) di bawah LSS2 (Larger Solar Scale) Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
Hanwha membuat pelaburan tunai sebanyak US$10 juta dalam projek tersebut, dengan meminjam kira-kira US$50 juta dari Bank OCBC dan Bangkok Bank, katanya dan menambah keseluruhan projek itu menelan kos kira-kira RM250 juta.
Beliau bercakap kepada pemberita selepas majlis pecah tanah projek tersebut oleh Menteri Besar Perlis Datuk Seri Azlan Man di tapak projek itu di sini.
Hanwha ialah anak syarikat milik penuh Hanwha Energy Corporation (HEC) iaitu konglomerat perniagaan terbesar di Korea Selatan yang berpangkalan di Seoul.
Dalam ucapannya, Azlan berkata pelaksanaan projek itu memberi impak positif dalam usaha kerajaan negeri menarik pelabur asing melabur di Perlis, terutama di Kawasan Industri Lembah Chuping (CVIA) yang sedang dibangunkan.
Katanya kerajaan pusat meluluskan RM50 juta dalam Pelan Pelaksanaan ketiga Rancangan Malaysia Kesebelas (RMK-11) bagi menyediakan infrastruktur asas CVIA tahun ini manakala Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) bersetuju membina satu Pencawang Masuk Utama (PMU) dalam tempoh dua tahun lagi.
Menurut Azlan projek itu menawarkan peluang pekerjaan kepada 400 hingga 500 orang pada peringkat pembinaan dan memerlukan beratus tenaga mahir dan separa mahir apabila beroperasi kelak.
“Seramai 397 pemilik tanah pula akan dibayar RM5,000 bagi satu relong (3 relong bersamaan 2 ekar). Pendapatan ini lebih baik berbanding mereka mengusahakan sawah setahun sekali dengan pendapatan kira-kira RM1,000 satu relong,” katanya.
Azlan berkata projek tersebut merupakan projek terbesar di Perlis yang telah pun mempunyai empat pengeluar tenaga solar berkapasiti satu hingga tujuh MWa.
Sementara itu, Pengarah KBJ, Datuk Dr Hashini Hashim berkata KBJ Hecmy menandatangani perjanjian membekalkan tenaga yang dihasilkan kepada Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) mulai Jun tahun depan.
“Selepas majlis pecah tanah ini, kita akan terus laksana projek supaya pemasangan panel siap mengikut jadual kerana kita tidak mahu dikenakan penalti oleh TNB jika lewat membekalkan tenaga mengikut perjanjian itu,” katanya.
Hashini berkata projek itu akan dilaksanakan sebaik urusan mendapat persetujuan 397 pemilik tanah persendirian melibatkan keluasan 125 ekar untuk tempoh 21 tahun.
