KOTA KINABALU, 18 Jun 2019 — Kerajaan negeri Sabah komited untuk memberi pendedahan kepada usahawan tempatan bagi memasarkan produk mereka di pasaran antarabangsa dalam usaha mencapai sasaran untuk melahirkan sekurang-kurangnya 100 usahawan setahun.
Timbalan Ketua Menteri, Datuk Wilfred Madius Tangau berkata bagi mencapai hasrat itu, beberapa syarikat yang memenuhi kriteria akan menyertai pameran dan ekspo antarabangsa di China dan Brunei serta di Sarawak bulan ini.
Beliau berkata tujuh syarikat tempatan berpeluang menyertai pameran Ekspo Makanan Antarabangsa Weihai di China selama lima hari bermula 21 Jun ini dengan mempamerkan antaranya minuman kesihatan, minuman tradisi, ikan perap, keropok tuhau dan peria, madu kelulut dan kraftangan.
Bercakap pada sidang media di sini, hari ini, beliau berkata anggaran jumlah pendapatan jualan adalah melebihi RM5 juta.
Menteri Perdagangan dan Perindustrian Sabah itu berkata sebanyak 400 syarikat dari lebih 10 negara antaranya Malaysia, Korea, Jepun dan Thailand akan menyertai pameran itu.
Sementara itu, 16 syarikat tempatan akan menyertai ekspo di Brunei mulai 26 hingga 30 Jun ini dengan anggaran jumlah pendapatan jualan RM3.2 juta.
Madius berkata ekspo itu merupakan platform kepada usahawan untuk menembusi pasaran global selain membantu usahawan berunding secara langsung dengan bakal pembeli produk hasil keluaran syarikat IKS Sabah.
Seramai 21 usahawan daripada beberapa daerah di Sabah juga akan terlibat dalam Ekspo Kayu dan Perusahaan Kecil dan Sederhana 2019 peringkat kebangsaan di Kuching, Sarawak bermula 27 hingga 30 Jun ini.
Beliau berkata antara produk yang dipamerkan termasuk sambal ikan masin, sambal udang kering, tapai nasi, jus kedondong dan roti kasur dengan anggaran jumlah pendapatan jualan RM1 juta.
“Kementerian akan memberikan bantuan kepada usahawan yang benar-benar berpotensi kerana kita mahu mencapai sasaran seperti ditetapkan kerana selain membuka peluang pekerjaan, usahawan ini juga mampu meningkatkan nilai eksport dari Sabah,” katanya.
