KUALA LUMPUR, 14 Jun 2016 — Kadar penduduk tidak bekerja di Malaysia akan kekal di bawah keadaan guna tenaga penuh, dengan kadar pengangguran pada purata 3.3 peratus pada 2019, kata MIDF Research hari ini.
Firma penyelidikan itu berkata pasaran buruh stabil dijangka memberi kesan positif terhadap ekonomi, menyokong guna tenaga swasta berikutan ia memacu ekonomi domestik menerusi peningkatan keyakinan pengguna.
“Kami mengunjurkan pasaran buruh akan terus berkembang selaras dengan aktiviti perindustrian dan perdagangan luar,” katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini.
Pertumbuhan tenaga buruh dilihat pada 2.0 peratus tahun ke tahun (y-o-y) pada April 2019, peningkatan paling lemah dalam tempoh 17 bulan.
Pertumbuhan pekerjaan pula direkodkan pada 1.9 peratus y-o-y manakala kerja bulanan yang ditambah kepada ekonomi berjumlah 54,600, yang tertinggi dalam setahun.
Sementara itu, jumlah pengangguran terus meningkat kepada 2.6 peratus y-o-y, mengatasi pertumbuhan dalam tenaga buruh dan juga pekerjaan untuk dua bulan berturut-turut.
“Namun, pasaran buruh kekal kukuh berikutan ekonomi masih di bawah guna tenaga penuh. Pasaran kerja yang stabil mencerminkan kekukuhan pembangunan ekonomi Malaysia dan menyediakan sokongan padu terhadap permintaan domestik,” kata MIDF Research.
Purata kekosongan kerja bagi tiga bulan pertama 2019 adalah 93,700, lebih tinggi daripada purata pada 2018 iaitu 91,300.
Paling ketara adalah purata kekosongan bagi kerja berkemahiran tinggi dan separuh mahir yang mencatatkan peningkatan manakala kerja berkemahiran rendah pula menurun.
Bagi suku pertama 2019, purata kekosongan kerja bagi pegawai kanan, profesional dan juruteknik masing-masing sebanyak 800, 2,600 dan 3,300.
