MELAKA, 29 Mei 2019 — Orang ramai di negeri ini dinasihatkan menjadi pengguna bijak dengan membeli persiapan Hari Raya Aidilfitri terutama pakaian daripada peniaga yang menawarkan harga berpatutan.
Pengarah Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri dan Hal Ehwal Pengguna (KPDNHEP) Melaka, Jaiya Abu berkata mereka dinasihatkan membuat perbandingan harga dan mengelak daripada membeli daripada peniaga yang menjual barangan dengan harga tidak munasabah.
“Kita harap orang ramai buat kajian pasaran terlebih dahulu di beberapa premis yang menjual pakaian raya sebelum membeli kerana persiapan untuk menyambut Hari Raya Aidilfitri ini bukanlah tertumpu kepada pakaian sahaja, sebaliknya termasuk duit raya, kuih, perhiasan rumah dan perabot baharu,” katanya kepada Bernama.
Beliau berkata demikian ketika diminta mengulas keluhan pengguna yang mendakwa terdapat peniaga yang menjual pakaian dengan harga yang lebih mahal berbanding tahun lepas.
Jaiya berkata tindakan tegas boleh diambil terhadap peniaga yang mengambil keuntungan tidak munasabah mengikut Seksyen 14(1) Akta Kawalan Harga dan Antipencatutan 2011.
“Pertubuhan perbadanan yang melakukan kesalahan ini, jika sabit kesalahan mereka boleh didenda tidak melebihi RM500,000 dan bagi kesalahan kedua atau berikutnya didenda tidak melebihi RM1 juta, manakala orang perseorangan pula, boleh didenda tidak melebihi RM100,000 atau penjara tidak lebih tiga tahun atau kedua-duanya sekali,” katanya.
Nurul Nadeea Shuhaimi, 34, berkata tidak banyak promosi yang dilakukan oleh peniaga malah kebanyakan peniaga tidak memberikan diskaun yang banyak sehinggakan mereka tiada pilihan selain terpaksa membeli pada harga yang tinggi.
“Saya beli baju raya awal sebab kalau lambat, pasti habis dan hanya tinggal yang tidak cantik. Baju kurung biasa pun berharga RM200 ke atas dan bagi yang ada gaya fesyen sedikit berharga RM400 lebih. Itu baju kurung sahaja, belum termasuk harga tudung,” katanya.
Menurut pekerja swasta itu, peniaga memberikan alasan harga pakaian raya itu mahal kerana menggunakan fabrik berkualiti tinggi dan diimport dari luar negara selain dijahit oleh tukang jahit berpengalaman.
Sementara itu, seorang kakitangan kerajaan, Mohd Hisyam Muda, 41, berkata kenaikan harga itu tidak memberi kesan kepadanya kerana hanya perlu membeli baju raya sekali setahun namun ia akan memberi kesan yang besar kepada keluarga yang kurang berkemampuan.
“Sepasang baju Melayu dewasa yang saya beli sebelum diskaun RM239 dan selepas diskaun harganya jadi RM180. Manakala baju Melayu kanak-kanak untuk anak tunggal lelaki saya berharga RM99. Lebih jimat membeli pakaian yang siap dijahit berbanding menempah baju kerana ada tukang jahit mengambil upah lebih RM200 untuk sepasang baju Melayu,” katanya.
