KUALA LUMPUR, 11 JANUARI 2019 – Kementerian Sumber Manusia menyeru supaya diperbanyakkan kolaborasi bersama institusi-institusi latihan di luar negara bagi tujuan pembelajaran kemahiran baharu dan teknologi asing.
Menterinya M. Kula Segaran berkata, di samping itu beliau juga amat berbangga kerana terdapat ramai pelajar Malaysia yang mengikuti pelbagai kursus kemahiran di luar negara dan adalah menjadi harapannya supaya mereka semua akan kembali ke negara ini dan menabur bakti dalam mempertingkatkan ekonomi negara terutamanya dalam bidang teknikal.
Menurut kenyataan media kementerian itu, sehingga akhir tahun 2018, lebih 51,000 pelajar yang telah menghadiri kursus-kursus sepenuh masa dan kursus jangka pendek, telah berjaya lahir daripada 32 Institut Latihan Jabatan Tenaga Manusia (ILJTM) di seluruh negara.
ILJTM juga sedang merangka untuk melakukan penambahan kursus baharu seperti Perhotelan, Katering, dan sebagainya dalam masa yang terdekat.
Turut dicadangkan, satu program pengiktirafan kepada tenaga kerja tempatan terutamanya dalam sektor teknikal dan vokasional sebagai tanda penghargaan kepada sumbangan mereka dalam merancakkan penumbuhan ekonomi di negara ini.
