PUTRAJAYA, 28 Januari 2019 – Mulai Mac ini, kira-kira 800,000 rakyat Malaysia berumur 50 tahun ke atas daripada kumpulan B40 bakal menerima manfaat skim peduli kesihatan dikenali PeKa B40 dengan peruntukan RM100 juta yang akan dilaksanakan secara berperingkat.
Menteri Kesihatan Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad berkata antara manfaatnya ialah saringan kesihatan, bantuan alat perubatan, insentif melengkapkan rawatan kanser serta insentif tambang pengangkutan.
Berucap pada majlis pelancaran PeKa B40 di sini hari ini, beliau berkata Kementerian Kesihatan turut bekerjasama dengan klinik dan makmal swasta terpilih untuk menjalankan saringan kesihatan bagi projek perintis tersebut.
Sementara itu, bercakap kepada pemberita, Dr Dzulkefly berkata kementerian pada masa ini hanya memfokuskan saringan kesihatan kepada golongan berumur 50 tahun ke atas untuk skim tersebut bagi mengelakkan keperluan rawatan yang rumit dan kos tinggi sekiranya lewat didiagnosis.
