KUALA LUMPUR, 4 Nov 2019 — Sebanyak 24,600 pekerja sektor swasta diberhentikan kerja sehingga 30 Sept lepas, Dewan Rakyat diberitahu hari ini.
Menteri Sumber Manusia M. Kula Segaran berkata daripada jumlah itu, seramai 21,625 orang terlibat dengan pemberhentian biasa, manakala 2,975 pekerja pula terbabit dalam Skim Pemberhentian Sukarela (VSS).
Pekerja terjejas di sektor pembuatan seramai 7,944 orang, sektor aktiviti pentadbiran dan khidmat sokongan (7,309); perdagangan, borong dan runcit (2,123); aktiviti kewangan dan insurans (1,748), penginapan dan aktiviti perkhidmatan makanan serta minuman (1,049).
Sementara sektor maklumat dan komunikasi melibatkan seramai 679 orang, katanya dalam sesi soal jawab pada persidangan Dewan Rakyat di sini.
Beliau berkata demikian bagi menjawab soalan Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed yang ingin tahu jumlah pembuangan pekerja dalam semua sektor sepanjang 2018 dan 2019, serta bilangan peluang pekerjaan yang diwujudkan sepanjang 2019.
Bagi tempoh 2018, Kula Segaran berkata bilangan pekerja yang diberhentikan adalah seramai 23,168 pekerja, melibatkan 17,236 pemberhentian biasa dan 5,932 VSS.
Mengenai bilangan peluang pekerjaan, beliau berkata sehingga Ogos lepas, kekosongan pekerjaan yang didaftarkan majikan bagi kategori siswazah adalah sebanyak 50,326 jawatan manakala 642,798 kekosongan jawatan untuk kategori bukan siswazah.
Malah lebih 20,000 pengiklanan dilakukan oleh majikan aktif yang menawarkan pelbagai jawatan di semua kategori pekerjaan sektor awam dan swasta, katanya.
“Portal JobsMalaysia (JMC) di bawah kementerian ini merupakan portal rasmi pasaran pekerja untuk pencarian dan penawaran pekerjaan melalui sistem padanan kerja secara ‘web-based’. Setiap pencari kerja berpeluang mendapatkan pekerjaan dan majikan pula berpeluang untuk mendapatkan calon yang sesuai.
“JMC di seluruh negara menawarkan pelbagai informasi kekosongan pekerjaan dan perkhidmatan khidmat nasihat pekerjaan kepada pencari kerja. Majikan dan pencari kerja juga berpeluang menyertai karnival pekerjaan di seluruh negara termasuk program temu duga terbuka yang diadakan di semua Pusat Transformasi Bandar (UTC) di seluruh negara sepanjang tahun,” katanya.
