TAWAU, 26 Okt 2019 — Koperasi Kakitangan Sawit Kinabalu Sabah Berhad (Kosawit) bercadang membuka dua lagi stesen minyak dalam tempoh dua tahun akan datang.
Pengarah Urusan Kumpulan Sawit Kinabalu (KSK), Masri Pudin berkata stesen minyak itu akan dibina di Sandau, Lahad Datu dan Langkon, Kota Marudu.
Katanya, KSK sentiasa menyokong usaha koperasi berkenaan dalam mempelbagaikan produk untuk mewujudkan peluang perniagaan yang menguntungkan sekali gus memberi manfaat kepada semua ahli.
“Memang ada perancangan untuk membuka lagi stesen minyak, salah satunya di Sandau, Lahad Datu. KSK menyediakan sebidang tanah untuk koperasi bagi tujuan itu, cuma untuk merealisasikannya mengambil sedikit masa,” katanya pada sidang media selepas perasmian Petron Balung Taman Sawit Milik Kosawit, di sini hari ini.
Menurutnya, segala dana yang digunakan untuk membuka dan merancang stesen minyak berkenaan akan dikendalikan sepenuhnya oleh Kosawit, manakala KSK hanya membantu dalam urusan pemberian tanah.
Sementara itu Anggota Dewan Undangan Negeri (ADUN) Balung, Datuk Osman Jamal, memuji kejayaan Kosawit itu dan berharap koperasi tersebut terus membangunkan perniagaan kerana ia bukan sahaja memberi manfaat kepada anggota, tetapi seluruh masyarakat Balung.
Stesen minyak yang terletak di laluan utama di Balung itu mula beroperasi sepenuhnya pada Mei lepas.
