SEMPORNA, 22 Okt: Kebajikan guru, termasuk berkaitan elaun mereka yang berkhidmat di luar bandar perlu diberi perhatian supaya golongan ini tidak merasa terabai, sekaligus memastikan bidang pendidikan negara terus cemerlang.
Presiden Kongres Kesatuan Pekerja-Pekerja Dalam Perkhidmatan Awam (Cuepacs), Datuk Azih Muda, berkata ini termasuk saranan mengkaji semula elaun untuk pengetua, guru besar, penolong kanan dan ketua bidang.
Guru disiplin dan guru panitia juga, menurutnya yang ketika ini tidak diberikan sebarang eluan perlu diperuntukan kadar yang setimpal.
“Harapan Cuepacs supaya kekurangan ini dapat diatasi segera,” katanya, memetik kenyataannya kepada media pada majlis warga pendidik Semporna bersama Cuepacs di sini, hari ini.
Cuepacs juga, menurut Azih, turur mencadangkan pihak seperti Kementerian Pendidikan atau Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam agar mengecualikan warden sekolah daripada pemotongan elaun rumah atau kuaters kerajaan.
“Warden bertugas 24 jam di sekolah, menjaga dan mengawal pelajar dan tinggal dalam kuarters kerajaan tetapi elaun rumah dipotong,” katanya.
Kementerian Pendidikan juga, menurutnya lagi diharap dapat menyusun semula gred guru yang memegang portfolio ketua bidang di sekolah kepada 48, dan bukannya gred 44.
