YAN, 11 Julai 2019 — Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Berhad (Angkasa) menyasarkan tiga lagi koperasi tempatan akan disenarai dalam 300 koperasi terbaik di peringkat global menjelang 2025.
Presiden Angkasa, Datuk Abdul Fattah Abdullah berkata, setakat ini hanya dua koperasi dari negara ini berada dalam kelompok berkenaan dan pihaknya berharap dapat memperkasakan semua koperasi agar lebih berdaya saing.
Pihaknya sudah mempunyai perancangan strategik bagi tempoh 2025 hingga 2030 bagi menambah bilangan koperasi yang mampu ke peringkat global.
“Dua koperasi di Malaysia yang tersenarai di peringkat global iaitu dalam top 300 ialah Bank Rakyat dan Koperasi Felda,” katanya selepas Program Angkasa bersama Komuniti di Kampung Teroi Bukit dekat sini, hari ini
Setakat ini, Angkasa memayungi lebih 14,000 koperasi di seluruh negara dan pihaknya akan mengenalpasti tiga koperasi yang mampu ke peringkat global dalam ranking 100 koperasi terbaik di negara ini.
Mengulas mengenai Dasar Keusahawanan Nasional (DKN) 2030, yang dilancarkan Perdana Menteri Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad hari ini, beliau berkata Angkasa sangat menggalakkan budaya keusahawanan dalam kalangan pemimpin koperasi serta anggotanya.
Beliau berkata, pihaknya akan mengambil peranan bekerjasama dengan Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia (SKM) serta kementerian berkaitan untuk menyokong usaha kerajaan itu sekali gus merealisasikan dasar berkenaan.
Perdana Menteri ketika melancarkan dasar itu di Pusat Konvensyen Kuala Lumpur hari ini berkata, DKN 2030 antaranya akan membentuk masyarakat Malaysia yang berpemikiran dan berbudaya keusahawanan.
Beliau dilaporkan berkata, DKN 2030 juga akan meningkatkan bilangan usahawan yang berkualiti, berdaya maju, berdaya tahan; berfikiran global dan kompetitif serta mempertingkatkan keupayaan usahawan tempatan dan industri kecil dan sederhana (PKS).
